Clarksville, TN – Are you interested in being a vendor in this year’s Downtown Market season?
The Clarksville Downtown Market is currently seeking vendors of all types; vendors selling local produce, dairy, honey, flowers, cheeses, meats, food products, baked goods/breads, artisan items are strongly encouraged to apply, but all applicants will be considered. All items must be handmade, homegrown or gathered by the seller or family member.
The 2013 market season will take place on Public Square, every Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm, beginning May 18th through October 19th. [Read more]

In the 2012 America’s Favorite Farmer’s Markets Contest
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Downtown Market at Public Square has been voted #1 in the state of Tennessee and #19 in the nation for large markets, in the 2012 America’s Favorite Farmers Markets contest which is hosted each year by American Farmland Trust. This is the third year in a row the Clarksville Downtown Market has won first place in the state of Tennessee.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Fort Defiance to host “March to the Past” Saturday

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of Fort Defiance will host the “March to the Past” event this Saturday, June 23rd from 10:00am to 5:00pm at the Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center, located at 120 Duncan Street.
This event will feature living history demonstrations such as infantry drills, Civil War medicine and clothing, rolling rifle cartridges and games for children.

Clarksville, TN – The Friends of Fort Defiance, including Porter’s Battery and Baxter’s Battery, will hold their “March to the Past” fundraising event at Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center on June 23rd from 10:00am-5:00pm.
Activities will include living history demonstrations such as quilting, Civil War medicine and clothing, rolling rifle cartridges, games for children, and firing demonstrations.
The Friends will be selling hot dogs and baked goods to support Fort Defiance.
Clarksville Downtown Market opens tomorrow

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Downtown Market opens at 8:00am Saturday, May 19th with approximately 60 vendors on hand to offer local fresh produce, baked goods, home décor, seasonal flowers and more. There will be live music by Lydia Walker.
For the kids. there will be be gardening crafts to participate in. Lousie Delgandio will be on hand to demonstrate how to make crepes. The first 600 visitors to the market, can visit the Clarksville Parks and Recreation booth to take home their very own market tote bag. There will also be give-a-ways handed out every thirty minutes.
The Clarksville Downtown Market will be open from 8:00am to 1:00pm every Saturday through October 19th on Public Square.
