Clarksville Jaycees Foundation to give $73,000 for Gary Groves Memorial Athletic Scholarship

Clarksville, TN – A long-running project of the Clarksville Jaycees, the Clarksville Jaycees Gary Groves Memorial Athletic Scholarship at Austin Peay State University will receive a significant financial boost this week.
After a 67-year history in the community, the local Jaycees organization is dissolving. As a result, the club’s foundation will present $73,000 to endow fully the athletic scholarship during a brief presentation at 5:30pm, Thursday, June 28th at F&M Bank on Franklin Street. [Read more]
APSU College of Business plans two Graduate Management Admission Test prep workshops

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University College of Business announces two workshops planned for students who need to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) for graduate admission.
The GMAT measures verbal, mathematical and analytical and writing skills. Two workshops, one in math and the other in language skills and writing, will be available to help prepare test-takers succeed in these areas. [Read more]
Austin Peay State University’s Highland Crest Campus names Kristen Brewer new coordinator

Clarksville, TN – Individuals looking to finish their college careers by enrolling at Austin Peay State University’s Highland Crest campus in Robertson County will now have a friendly face to help guide them through the process – new extended campus coordinator Kristen Brewer.
Brewer is now working at the Springfield campus, which houses both APSU and Volunteer State Community College programs, to help students interested in completing a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice, a Bachelor of Professional Studies, a Master of Arts in Teaching or a Master of Arts in Education with a reading specialist licensure.

APSU to hold Tennessee Business Tax Seminar July 17th

Clarksville, TN – In cooperation with the Tennessee Department of Revenue, Austin Peay State University’s Center for Extended and Distance Education will hold the annual Tennessee Business Tax seminar from 8:00am to 5:00pm on Tuesday, July 17th.
The seminar will be held in the Morgan University Center. Representatives from the Tennessee Department of Revenue, the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury will facilitate sessions related to business taxes.
