Pinnacle Family Entertainment Center Fundraiser for Brady Conatser a Success

Clarksville, TN – There was a rundraising event for Brady Conatser held at the Pinnacle Family Entertainment Center Saturday, January 28th. Those that came out were able to bowl from 9:00am to 11:00am for only $7.00. Everyone had a really good time and helped raise money for Brady’s rehabilitation.
“I just wanted to thank everyone for coming out this morning and supporting Brady.” said Tiffany Perry, Conatser’s cousin and organizer of the event.

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, January 28th there will be a fundraising event for Brady Conatser at the Pinnacle Family Entertainment Center. Dr. Mac Edington has donated the Pinnacle from 9:00am to 11:00am for free bowling that includes shoe rental. A donation of $7.00 will be collected at the door.
Conatser, a 2011 graduate of Montgomery Central High School, was paralyzed on December 27th when he became light headed and fell hitting his head on a truck bumper and then again on a bolt that was part of the car lift. He damaged his c-4 vertebrae, breaking his neck. [Read more]
Brady Conatser’s Fundraiser Auction a Huge Success

Cunningham, TN – On Saturday, January 21st at 6:00pm a Fundraiser Auction held at the Montgomery Central High School’s Thomas-Young Gym for Brady Conatser, a young man who was paralyzed in a fall during a fainting episode. All the money raised will help pay for Brady’s medical and rehabilitation bills.
Conatser, a 2011 graduate of Montgomery Central, was paralyzed on December 27th when he became light headed and fell hitting his head on a truck bumper and then again on a bolt that was part of the car lift. He damaged his c-4 vertebrae, breaking his neck. He is currently in Atlanta, GA at the Shepherd Center a world renowned rehabilitation center that specializes in spinal cord injuries in young people.

Around 300 people came to the Fundraiser Auction held at the Montgomery Central High School’s Thomas-Young Gym for Brady Conaster Saturday night.

Cunningham, TN – There will be a Fundraiser Auction at the Montgomery Central High School gym for Brady Conatser Saturday, January 21st starting at 6:00pm. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, etc for sale as well as t-shirts. The t-shirts are $20.00 each.
Brady Conatser fell on December 27th injuring his spine. He has recently been moved to the Shepard Center in Atlanta, GA, a world renowned rehabilitation center that specializes in spinal cord injuries. However, the families insurance will not cover this treatment. All money raised goes towards Brady’s medical and rehabilitation bills. [Read more]
Austin Peay State University Employees cite their various accomplishments

Clarksville, TN – Several faculty and staff members as well as some students at Austin Peay State University announce their recent professional and scholarly activities.
Dr. Harvey F. Blanck, emeritus professor of chemistry, had an article, titled “Using Plastic Models Designed to Produce Large Height to Length Ratio Steady State Planar and Axisymmetric (Radial) Viscous Liquid Laminar Flow Gravity Currents,” published in the most recent edition of the Journal of Chemical Education. Clarksville, TN – Several faculty and staff members at Austin Peay State University have been recognized for their recent professional and scholarly activities.
Sherry Kendrick, technical clerk in the Office of the Registrar, received the PeayFormance Customer Service Award. The Enrollment Management and Academic Support will present the award quarterly to a professional or clerical staff member nominated by his or her peers as exemplifying service above and beyond the call of duty to APSU students, faculty and the general campus community. APSU Foundation selects new members to serve for 2011

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Foundation has selected 10 new members for 2011.
The APSU Foundation provides the structure through which the University can work directly with special volunteers and community leaders to enhance the financial well being of the University. The Foundation’s purpose is to financially support the University.
The Foundation is a separate entity and is chartered by the state, with the authority to receive private gifts in support of the University. Through its executive committee, the Foundation makes its own policy decisions. The University provides administrative support to the Foundation. [Read more]
APSU awards 2 top student honors at annual Honors and Awards Day ceremony

Clarksville, TN – A mathematics and physics major who will pursue her doctoral degree at Stanford University on a full scholarship and a history student who has become a mentor for transfer and nontraditional students received the two top student awards during Austin Peay State University’s annual Academic Honors and Awards Day ceremony.
Casey McKnight was named the recipient of the William McClure Drane Award, and Deanna B. Carter received the Harvill-Civitan Citizenship Award. [Read more]
