Clarksville, TN – Now through September 22nd, 2021, Pillars of Hope, an exhibit dedicated to the memory of the September 11th attacks on our nation will be on display at the Clarksville Montgomery County Public Library during regular library hours of operation.
9/11 remains one of the most pivotal points in American history. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the attacks which claimed the lives of 2,977 people and injured thousands more. Montgomery County has a personal and profound connection to September 11th with many military heroes and families calling Clarksville their home
Arts for Hearts Clarksville to host Supply Drive for Art in November

Clarksville, TN – Give artfully this November to Arts for Hearts, a program providing free art classes and workshops throughout the Clarksville area.
It is officially Fall and the season of caring and giving is fast approaching. Now is the perfect time to give back to the community by volunteering, giving or hosting supply drives to support your favorite local nonprofits.
Arts for Hearts in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Restore and Eagle’s Wing Ministries will host a “Hearts Need Art” supply drive from November 9th-22nd.

AHDC receives $10,000 grant to offer arts experiences to military families

Clarksville-Montgomery County Arts and Heritage Development Council
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Arts and Heritage Development Council has received a $10,000 grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission to enfold active military, veterans and their families into Clarksville’s creative community.
The Tennessee Arts Commission in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Veteran Services awarded nine Tennessee Military, Veterans & the Arts grants to organizations throughout the state. Two Montgomery County organizations, AHDC and Gateway Chamber Orchestra, were grant recipients.

APSU CECA Announces 2018 Ovation Award winners and final program lineup

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU ) President Alisa White and the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA, or “seek-ah”) invite the entire community to the 2018 Ovation Awards, a free, family-friendly celebration of the arts.
The 2018 Ovation Awards will take place on Sunday, April 8th, at 2:00pm in the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall on APSU’s campus. The 2018 Ovation Award winners will be honored, and, in an exciting new format, the event will feature performances and artwork by a variety of arts groups from the community and APSU.
