Clarksville Transit System’s Paul Nelson named Director

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Transit System (CTS) senior manager Paul Nelson, who has served as Interim Director since July, has been selected as CTS Director, Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts announced.
“Paul has been involved in many aspects of our CTS operation for several years, and he stepped up and did a fine job as Interim Director,” Mayor Pitts said.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System (CTS) recently placed four new bus shelters.
“I’ve heard passengers request more bus shelters,” said Arthur Bing Sr., City of Clarksville transportation director. “We at CTS are working hard to get more bus shelters installed around the city as quickly as possible.”

The Clarksville Transit System placed four new bus shelters around the Tiny Town Road area this month. The shelters include a bench, solar powered LED lights, a trash receptacle and space for wheelchair access.

Girl Scouts team with Rossview High School Students on Community Project
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Clarksville Transit System recently received a donation of six bus stop benches from a local Girl Scout troop.
Girl Scout Troop 773 decided to use the extra money they earned this year to give back to the community by teaming up with students at Rossview High School to build, stain and donate benches to be used at city bus stops.

Girl Scout Troop 773 donated six bus stop benches to the City of Clarksville after they decided to use the extra money they earned this year to give back to the community. The Junior Girl Scout troop bought the materials, then teamed up with students at Rossview High School to build, stain and donate the benches.
