Summer Youth Program to begin June 6th

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department Summer Youth Program will begin June 6th with the opening of program sites and will end July 15th.
The Summer Youth Program is a six-week day camp-type program that is offered each summer to youths, ages 6-16. Gyms at various locations are staffed with directors and assistants, who will help with playtime activities and provide free, instructional classes such as dance and karate.

3rd Annual Youth Coalition Olympics begins June 4th

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department will be holding their annual Youth Coalition Olympics from June 4th through July 2nd, 2011.
Opening Ceremony will be held June 4th from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Police Department Headquarters located at 135 Commerce Street, Clarksville TN. [Read more]
Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit application deadline extended

Nashville, TN – The application deadline has been extended until May 7th, 2010 for the Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit (TOYS), June 13th-18th. TOYS is for high school students from across Tennessee and will be hosted by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
Students will be introduced to many outdoor activities at the event to be held at TWRA’s complex in Montgomery County. Among the activities that the students will become acquainted with will include boating, hunting, trapping, archery, photography, marksmanship, plant identification, forestry, camping, water quality, trap shooting, skeet shooting, wildlife identification, and several classes with wildlife and fishery biology as the topic. Sleep Under the Stars at the Parks & Recreation Family Campout

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites you to sleep under the stars at Billy Dunlop Park. Join us for a family camp out beginning at 2:00pm Saturday, May 21st, until 9:00am Sunday, May 22nd, at the park located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road.
