APSU’s annual G.H.O.S.T. event moves back to campus center

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) annual G.H.O.S.T. event – aka Greater Halloween Options for Safe Trick-or-Treating – is moving back to the middle of campus this year, relocating from Fortera Stadium to the Morgan University Center Plaza (and throughout campus).
Earn more credit hours over the holiday break with APSU’s winter term

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s spring classes begin January 21st, 2020, but students wanting to get a jump-start on that semester can start taking a few courses a month earlier, on December 14th, 2019. That’s when the APSU’s winter term begins, allowing students to complete up to two online classes in only four weeks.

As part of National Friends of Libraries Week, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed a proclamation designating October 20th-26th, 2019, as Friends of Libraries Week in Tennessee.

Clarksville Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade set for November 9th

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 9th, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville.
The keynote speaker is U.S. Army retired Colonel Rob Salome, who now serves as the Director of Strategy and Leadership Development for Solutions 21, a nationwide consulting firm.

APSU to debut Trebuchet at Clarksville BBQ Bash

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) will haul its medieval siege machine to the Clarksville BBQ Bash on October 19th, 2019 to hurl pumpkins hundreds of feet.
Bryan Gaither – lab manager for the APSU Department of Physics, Engineering and Astronomy – has been working on the machine, called a trebuchet, for several weeks.

APSU 35th Annual Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert set for October 29th

Clarksville, TN – On October 29th, 2019, shortly after sunset, several unsavory characters – including Darth Vader, Michael Myers and that notorious foodie, Hannibal Lecter – will descend upon the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Mabry Concert Hall to unleash their ominous theme music onto a crowd of eager listeners.
