APSU leadership society inducts large class

Clarksville, TN – In the fall of 2018, Austin Peay State University (APSU) founded a new chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), and less than two years later, that chapter is the largest active student organization on campus, with more than 1,200 students joining.

Philadelphia emergency expert named first director of emergency management at APSU

Clarksville, TN – Last summer, an explosion at the Philadelphia Energy Solutions refinery in Pennsylvania sent, according to WHYY, “3,271 pounds of the dangerous hydrofluoric acid” into the atmosphere. While the refinery still burned, Lynn Fisher arrived on the scene as the response and emergency operations center manager. On May 18th, 2020 Fisher will arrive at Austin Peay State University (APSU) as the institution’s first Director of Emergency Management.

Clarksville, TN – When the coronavirus pandemic forced Austin Peay State University (APSU) Professor Leni Dyer to stay home in mid-March, she wanted to find a way to help during the crisis.
“My first instinct was how can I help, what can I do other than just sitting at home waiting for this to end?” Dyer said. “What can I do to help people?”

Austin Peay State University names Dr. Maria Cronley new APSU Provost

Clarksville, TN – Dr. Maria Cronley, a nationally recognized consumer behavior expert and senior administrator at Ohio Northern University, was recently named provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Austin Peay State University (APSU). She will begin her new role at APSU in July.
