APSU to kick off new GovTrails on March 27th

Clarksville, TN – A walking trail at Austin Peay State University is becoming a reality, thanks to a state grant awarded to the University to designate the trails on campus and organize other efforts to encourage a healthier lifestyle.
The public is invited to walk GovTrails during a kick-off celebration at 11:30am, Wednesday, March 27th in the Morgan University Center plaza. This event will be held rain or shine.
APSU to host 61st annual Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair

Clarksville, TN – Later this month, more than 100 middle and high school students throughout middle Tennessee will converge on the Austin Peay State University campus to participate in the 61st annual Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair (MTSEF).
The MTSEF, affiliated with the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), starts March 21st, and the public is invited to view all MTSEF projects between 10:00am–8:00pm, March 22nd in the Morgan University Center Ballroom. [Read more]

APSU Alumni Association’s New membership card brings perks to members

APSU concert to showcase beauty and versatility of the cello in Britten Suites

Clarksville, TN – In the early 1960s, the famed English composer Benjamin Britten attended a London concert featuring a young Russian cellist named Mstislav Rostropovich. According to the Colorado Britten Society, the English composer bobbed “up and down like a school boy” as he listened to Rostropovich.
That concert was a fortuitous event in the development of modern classical music. The two men became friends, and Britten went on to write three stunningly beautiful cello suites for Rostropovich.
APSU College of Business sponsoring Entrepreneurship Tour

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University College of Business will sponsor the Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour on Thursday, March 7th.
The event will take place from 1:00pm-5:00pm in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.

APSU Public Relations and Marketing recognized in region for work

Clarksville, TN – The Office of Public Relations and Marketing at Austin Peay State University has been recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) – Southeast District III for its promotional work.
The University received the Grand Award in the category of graphic design for print and digital special pieces. The printed piece selected for the honor was the 2012 Candlelight Ball invitation, produced by the APSU PR and Marketing Office. [Read more]

APSU receives Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence award for best practice processes

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University recently earned Level 1 honors in the annual Excellence in Tennessee recognition program administered by the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence (TNCPE).
TNCPE is the only statewide quality program and is patterned on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, the national standard for recognizing organizational excellence. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Department of Communication will hold its 10th AP Debate Forum from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Wednesday, March 6th in Clement Auditorium. The debate is free and open to the public.
