2014 Slate of Exhibits Announced
Clarksville, TN – The drawings and paintings of local artist Bob Privett will be on display at the Planters Bank-Hilldale Gallery from Thursday, January 2nd – Wednesday, February 5th.
In his exhibit titled, “Retrospective—Inspirations from April through December,” Privett shares paintings and drawings of people he met and places he visited while traveling through the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Clarksville, TN – When future generations look back on the history of Austin Peay State University, the year 2013 will likely be remembered as a pivotal time in the University’s development.
In the last 12 months, the campus has changed tremendously, both in terms of its layout and its notoriety. New, state-of-the-art buildings are welcoming new students, and even the President of the United States is talking about APSU.

APSU adds five solar picnic tables to campus

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University is continuing its push to offer sustainable energy sources to the campus community with the recent installation of five solar picnic tables.
The tables, located in the Morgan University Center plaza, use solar panels attached to an umbrella canopy to generate 235 watts of electricity.

Nashville, TN – The Dance Theatre of Tennessee’s performance of “The Nutcracker” in Clarksville, TN orginally planned for December 7th, takes place for for one night only at Austin Peay State University on Friday, December 20th, at 7:00pm.

Austin Peay State University Physics Club named outstanding chapter

Clarksville, TN – Last year, members of Austin Peay State University’s Society of Physics Students (SPS) chapter sent an email to the national organization, loaded with 45 megabytes of attachments.
Somehow, the email made it to College Park, MD, where officials probably spent weeks wading through hundreds of images and documents detailing all the activities the APSU club, known Del Square Psi, had participated in throughout the year.
1st Annual Stuff the Reda Bus at Movement Mortgage continues tomorrow

The event continues tomorrow, December 17th, 2013 until 6:00pm.
APSU’s Barry Kitterman awarded prestigious National Endowment of the Arts Fellowship

Clarksville, TN – Barry Kitterman, Austin Peay State University professor of creative writing, has been awarded a prestigious Creative Writing Fellowship in fiction from the National Endowment of the Arts.
Only 38 writers received the award, with Kitterman being Tennessee’s sole NEA fellow for 2014. His work was selected from among more than a thousand writers as deserving of the honor, which brings with it an award of $25,000.
