APSU’s Ann Ross Bookstore now ties campus with downtown community

Clarksville, TN – After years of being hidden away inside of campus, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Ann Ross Bookstore now has a more prominent home at the corner of College and Fourth streets in downtown Clarksville. The University officially opened the new, 13,000-square-foot location in late June, providing more space for merchandise and greater community access.

Austin Peay State University professor Andrea Spofford connects with pandemic-distanced friends by sending original poems on antique postcards

Clarksville, TN – Andrea Spofford had 50 antique postcards, a typewriter and a plan.
A poet, essayist and Austin Peay State University (APSU) associate professor of English, Dr. Spofford created her plan in mid-March, around the time most states shut down in response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

Clarksville, TN – On a sunny but chilly January afternoon, Austin Peay State University (APSU) physics students sent a high-altitude balloon 93,000 feet into the stratosphere.
The balloon carried an important student experiment, but the payload also included two special guests: two containers that contained Cascade hops.

APSU history graduate lands prestigious scholarship at Polish university

Clarksville, TN – A Gov is going to Poland’s prestigious Jagiellonian University in Krakow at the end of September. Nicholas Herrud, a recent Austin Peay State University (APSU) history graduate and Spring Hill, Tennessee, native, will begin his Master of Arts focusing on Polish studies.
APSU moves 2020 Homecoming to October 10th

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) officials recently announced this year’s homecoming festivities will be moved to October 10th, 2020 when the Governors take on the Eastern Kentucky Colonels at 3:00pm in Fortera Stadium.
