APSU School of Nursing forms partnership with Fisk University

Clarksville, TN – Last year, when Fisk University decided to provide a nursing pathway for its students, the Nashville-based school reached out to one of the top programs in the region – the Austin Peay State University (APSU) School of Nursing. Officials at Fisk liked that APSU’s program consistently had a near 100% passing rate for the national licensure test, and Austin Peay State University officials were eager to take advantage of the diversity that Fisk – a historically Black university – offered.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) chemistry professor Dr. Leslie Hiatt spent some of the summer transforming a scrapped glass door into a learning tool for students forced to take online classes during the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

APSU’s Polifonía Journal celebrates 10th anniversary with special issue and library display

Clarksville, TN – This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Austin Peay State University (APSU) bilingual (Spanish and English), scholarly, peer-reviewed journal, Polifonía Journal. The journal, first launched in 2011, is dedicated to scholarly essays about literature and film in the Hispanic world and offers something different for its writers each year.

APSU virtual “Remembering Homecoming” celebration set for week of October 10th

Clarksville, TN – Due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, Austin Peay State University recently announced it is moving its traditional fall homecoming activities from the week of October 10th, 2020 to the spring 2021 semester, in conjunction with the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) decision to postpone fall sports until spring.
Miss Austin Peay 2021 Noelle Thompson receives Congressional Award Gold Medal

Clarksville, TN – Noelle Thompson, Miss Austin Peay 2021, received a Congressional Award Gold Medal on Saturday, September 26th, 2020 at the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Morgan Student University Center Ballroom for spending more than 1,800 hours serving the community through the Break Through 4 a Buddy program.
