Clarksville Parks and Recreation launches “Bike Walk Clarksville”

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Bike Walk Clarksville, a group of citizens on a mission to promote a more bicycle and pedestrian-friendly community, got rolling this week with a formative meeting at Wilma Rudolph Events Center.

The next meeting is scheduled for 6:00pm Tuesday, March 13th, 2018 at a site to be announced soon. Organizers have set up online sites to inform and connect members.

The popularity of Clarksville's BCycle bike-sharing system helped inspire the newly formed 'Bike Walk Clarksville' citizens group.

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – A few years ago, the brothers Jeffery and Clifford Azize set out to discover what it means to be human. They wanted to explore the joy and pain that comes with existence. Their journey took them around world, from living with the homeless in New York City to visiting lepers in Africa.

Throughout their travels, they were accompanied by a group of independent filmmakers who shot hours of footage.

Charlie Koon elected President of the 2012 Class of Leadership Middle Tennessee

Leadership Middle TennesseeMurfreesboro, TN – Charlie Koon, Chief of Staff for the City of Clarksville, has been elected President of the 2012 Class of Leadership Middle Tennessee.

Koon has been committed to serving the area’s residents throughout his career. Before joining the Mayor’s office, he held several positions with Cumberland Bank & Trust and was also the owner of Mary’s Music. His community service includes the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, United Way, Riverfest Entertainment Committee and Leadership Clarksville.
