APSU virtual “Remembering Homecoming” celebration set for week of October 10th

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, Austin Peay State University recently announced it is moving its traditional fall homecoming activities from the week of October 10th, 2020 to the spring 2021 semester, in conjunction with the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) decision to postpone fall sports until spring.

APSU announces 2019 Candlelight Ball Award winners

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Earlier this year, the Austin Peay State University Office of Alumni Relations announced the recipients of the 2019 Candlelight Ball Awards.

The Wendell H. Gilbert Award will go to Dr. Jeannie Beauchamp, who established Clarksville Pediatric Dentistry in 1999, and the Spirit of Austin Peay Award will go to Len Rye, a residential contractor who specializes in custom homes.

APSU announces Candlelight Ball Award winners

Austin Peay State University - APSU - logoClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Office of Alumni Relations has announced the recipients of the 2016 Candlelight Ball Awards. The Wendell H. Gilbert Award will go to Jack B. Turner (’67), president of Jack B. Turner and Associates, and the Spirit of Austin Peay Award will go to Josh Baggett (’05), district engineering technician with Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation.

Since 2011, the University has honored two individuals who have supported or brought recognition to APSU through their achievements or contributions. [Read more]

APSU Alumna and Dyslexia Advocate to sign New Book on February 5th

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – At 11:00am on February 5th, noted dyslexia advocate and Austin Peay State University alumna Ruth Fuller Lature (’63, ’76) will sign copies of her new book, “Dyslexia: A Teacher’s Journey,” in the Morgan University Center.

Lature spent 35 years as a public school teacher in Kentucky, where she quickly developed a passion for students with reading disabilities.

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – The third annual Breast Cancer Awareness 5K will be held Saturday, April 13th in front of the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center on the Austin Peay State University campus.

Registration is available online through www.Active.com or on race day beginning at 6:30am.

The race will start at 8:00am. A one-mile fun run also will begin at 8:30am. [Read more]
