APSU first college in country to have Chick-fil-A kiosks

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) students returning to campus this week will notice something different in the Morgan University Center’s food court – several state-of-the-art digital kiosks in front of the venue’s Chick-fil-A.
The ordering stations are part of a new, $257,000 renovation of the restaurant, and the APSU location marks the first time Chick-fil-A has installed the kiosks on a college campus.

APSU’s Phi Kappa Phi chapter collecting books for Halloween event

Clarksville, TN – For the 16th consecutive Halloween, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) at Austin Peay State University (APSU) is collecting new and gently used children’s books for its Candy for the Mind project.
Members of the campus and local community are invited to support this effort through donations of books or money for the purchase of books.

Then event, which is free and open to the public, will teach attendees about severe weather and how to keep safe during a storm.
New APSU vice president to speak at University’s Military and Veteran Graduate Recognition Ceremony August 8th

Clarksville, TN – Retired Lt. Gen Ronald Bailey, Austin Peay State University vice president for external affairs, will be the guest speaker at APSU’s Summer 2018 Military and Veteran Graduate Recognition Ceremony this August.
The ceremony, set for 5:00pm on August 8th, 2018 in the APSU Morgan University Center, honors the University’s graduating students who are either veterans, active-duty military personnel, reservists or members of the National Guard.
APSU hosting free screening, discussion of immigration documentary “Welcome to Shelbyville”

Clarksville, TN – The town of Shelbyville is about two hours south of Austin Peay State University, and most Clarksville residents only make the journey to visit family or friends or, along with thousands of others from around the world, to watch the grand spectacle known as the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration each summer.
But in 2009, this small, rural community became a focal point for the nation’s ongoing immigration debate.
Murals, Sculptures, Fountains and Flames Fill Clarksville’s Public Art Trail

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville unveiled its 21st public art piece this month. Twelve of the pieces – at least – are in a proximity that’s easily walkable within the city’s downtown core.
Murals, sculptures, fountains, and flames are among the art pieces you’ll see showcased along city streets, urban trails, buildings and throughout the campus of Austin Peay State University, which is adjacent to downtown. Many of the works were designed or created by Clarksville artists.
APSU honors military and veterans during month of November
