Govs Go Bald event coming to APSU campus November 19th

Clarksville, TN – A year ago, David Locke, president of Austin Peay State University’s Interfraternity Council (IFC), decided to give up on haircuts. He stayed pretty faithful to his oath, getting only a few trim-ups in the last 12 months to keep things neat, and his dark mane now reaches almost to his shoulders.
Around noon on November 19th, Locke will sit in the middle of the APSU University Center Plaza and let a stylist with Sports Clips shear off all his hair.
“Red Tie Affair” is the theme for 2015 APSU Homecoming

APSU adds five solar picnic tables to campus

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University is continuing its push to offer sustainable energy sources to the campus community with the recent installation of five solar picnic tables.
The tables, located in the Morgan University Center plaza, use solar panels attached to an umbrella canopy to generate 235 watts of electricity.
Austin Peay State University to hold peace walk, vigil for Boston Marathon

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University will hold a peace walk and candlelight vigil this week to honor those impacted by the Boston Marathon bombing attacks.
The public is invited to attend the event scheduled for Wednesday, April 24th. The peace walk will begin at 6:00pm and follow the one-mile route on the GovsTrail. Those wishing to participate should meet in the Morgan University Center plaza. [Read more]
APSU to kick off new GovTrails on March 27th

Clarksville, TN – A walking trail at Austin Peay State University is becoming a reality, thanks to a state grant awarded to the University to designate the trails on campus and organize other efforts to encourage a healthier lifestyle.
The public is invited to walk GovTrails during a kick-off celebration at 11:30am, Wednesday, March 27th in the Morgan University Center plaza. This event will be held rain or shine.
