APSU board approves master’s degree in speech-language pathology

Clarksville, TN – Last year, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Health and Human Performance launched a new undergraduate degree concentration in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and the program proved to be so popular that the University is planning to offer a new graduate degree in speech-language pathology in the fall of 2021.

Clarksville, TN – In the span of two weeks at Austin Peay State University (APSU), two remarkable discoveries of long-forgotten items opened a torrent of memories for two professors with decades-old ties to the school.
The first discovery happened on August 1st, 2019 when an electrician’s assistant working in Kimbrough Building found a billfold that had been missing since 1987.

APSU raises $9.85 million during second-highest giving year in university history

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University announced today that it has reached a record fundraising total of $9.85 million in gifts and pledges for the 2018 fiscal year.
This total is the second-highest in university history, and it is the result of a continuous increase in donations over time.

APSU College of Business officially opens Larry W. Carroll Financial Trading Center at ribbon cutting ceremony

Clarksville, TN – Members of the Austin Peay State University and Clarksville-Montgomery County communities got to see the future of the University’s College of Business on Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 as it celebrated the opening of the new Larry W. Carroll Financial Trading Center, located on the first floor of the Kimbrough Building, during a public ribbon cutting ceremony.

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University College of Business will take a major step forward this month when it officially opens the new Larry W. Carroll Financial Trading Center.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new space will take place at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 on the first floor of the APSU Kimbrough Building. The event is free and open to the public.

GuitarFest features Grammy Award-winning Jason Vieaux in concert
Clarksville, TN – This February, Austin Peay State University and the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts will present the annual APSU GuitarFest, featuring guest artist concerts, lectures and workshops.
This year’s festival will feature performances by 2015 Grammy Awards winner, Jason Vieaux, as well as the AronBerkner Duo of guitarist Stephen Aron and flutist Jane Berkner. The festival will conclude with a recital by current Austin Peay students from the University’s guitar program.
APSU alumnus Carroll provides lead gift for new trading room on campus

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University is about 900 miles from New York City’s financial district, but a new trading room in the University’s Kimbrough Building will soon allow APSU business students to mimic the work of Wall Street’s top financiers.
The proposed trading room will have 16 computer stations and a Bloomberg terminal, providing APSU business students with the same tools used by financial professionals around the world.
