Austin Peay State University Breast Cancer Awareness 5K planned

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s Wilbur N. Daniel African American Cultural Center, University Recreation and APSU Athletics will have the Breast Cancer Awareness 5K on February 18th, with all proceeds going to the Kay Yow Fund.
The race entry fee is $10.00 for students and $12.00 for non-students. Registration will begin at 9:00am and the race will start at 10:00am at the Dunn Center. [Read more]

Clarksville Parks & Recreation’s 2nd Annual Sports Festival is seeking exhibitors

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks & Recreation is seeking sports-related businesses and organizations interested in exhibiting at the 2nd Annual Clarksville Sports Festival. The all-day event celebrating the local sports and athletics community will take place March 17th, 2012 from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the APSU Foy Center.
Clarksville Sports Festival features demonstrations of a wide variety of sports, speakers from areas of sports and athletics as well as an exhibitor hall for all of Clarksville’s sports and athletic community to display what they have to offer. Clarksville, TN – The second annual Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce Home and Garden Show, sponsored by Hutson, will be held this weekend at the Austin Peay State University’s Foy Center, 259 Marion Street.

APSU holds 2nd Annual Polar Plunge

Clarksville, TN – APSU’s University Recreation held the 2nd Annual Polar Plunge at 4:00pm on Tuesday January 26th 2011. Participants jumped into the frigid Foy Center pool for a chance to win a FREE t-shirt! Afterwards the students and APSU faculty members dried themselves off and warmed themselves up with Hot chocolate.
