Parents of late APSU student establish the Tyler Head Agriculture Memorial Endowment

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) agriculture student Tyler Head passed away on February 3rd, 2012. He was only 20 years old. In May of that year, his parents, Chuck Head and Gina Head Hieber, made a gift to the APSU Foundation, establishing a pass-through scholarship to honor his memory.

APSU Woodward Library Society hosting annual Society Social on April 6th

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – This April, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Woodward Library Society will host its annual Society Social, featuring author Michael Doubler. 

The Society Social, a library friend-raising and fundraising dinner, is scheduled for Saturday, April 6th, 2019 in the Franklin Room of the F&M Bank in downtown Clarksville. Social hour begins at 5:30pm followed by a buffet dinner catered by the Party Station.

Allensworth recently donated $28,000 to the APSU Foundation to honor the memory of his late mother by creating the Emily Rawlins Allensworth Endowment, an endowed scholarship program to benefit APSU students.

The APSU Military Alumni Chapter was founded in October 2012 for the purpose of supporting and recognizing military-related APSU alumni.

Michael Wright and Quality Manufacturing Systems, Inc. endow computer science scholarship at Austin Peay State University

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) alumnus Michael Wright and Quality Manufacturing Systems, Inc. (QMSI) recently funded an endowed scholarship through the APSU Foundation to benefit Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) students.

The endowment will be known as the Michael Wright/QMSI Endowed Scholarship. Money from the endowment will be designated for incoming freshmen.

The APSU Maynard Mathematics and Computer Science Building is home to the University's CSIT.

The theme of this year’s luncheon is “Celebrations & Stories,” where organizers will share memories of where they’ve been, and where they plan on going in the future.

BAND Foundation donates $100,000 to Austin Peay State University Southeastern Grasslands Initiative

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The BAND Foundation of Washington, D.C., recently donated $100,000 to the Austin Peay State University Foundation as a contribution for the ongoing effort to fund the Southeastern Grasslands Initiative (SGI) at APSU.

BAND also issued a dollar-for-dollar challenge gift to SGI, agreeing to match up to $250,000 of funds raised through the end of 2019.
