The acronym stands for Greater Halloween Options for Safe Trick-or-Treating, and it’s a long tradition at Austin Peay State University.
APSU’s Phi Kappa Phi chapter collecting books for Halloween event

Clarksville, TN – For the 16th consecutive Halloween, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) at Austin Peay State University (APSU) is collecting new and gently used children’s books for its Candy for the Mind project.
Members of the campus and local community are invited to support this effort through donations of books or money for the purchase of books.

Clarksville, TN – When Lynzie Averitt started looking at colleges last fall, she thought she’d end up at the University of Tennessee at Martin. But then, in October of 2017, the Houston County High School senior decided to visit Austin Peay State University for AP Day.
“That made the decision for me,” Averitt said. “I came to AP Day, and that’s the day I decided to come to Austin Peay. I just loved the atmosphere and all the stuff the University offered. For me, the major deciding factor was AP Day.”
Coca-Cola Bottling Works of Tullahoma, Inc. endows scholarship at APSU

Clarksville, TN – Coca-Cola Bottling Works of Tullahoma, Inc. recently pledged $25,000 to the Austin Peay State University Foundation to establish an endowed scholarship program benefiting APSU students.
The agreement was finalized in July 2018. Coca-Cola will present the University with a check for the endowment during the halftime program of the APSU football game at 6:00pm on September 8th at Fortera Stadium.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County is poised to welcome nearly 3,000 guests next week for three divisions of the Amateur Athletic Union’s Boy’s 10-and-Under National Basketball Championships.
Since 1999, Clarksville has hosted dozens of regional and national AAU basketball events.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Tina Boysha was once again at the helm of the popular event.
