The event will take place from 1:00pm-5:00pm in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.

Dr. Mary Lou Witherspoon, professor of mathematics and the 2012 APSU National Alumni Association Distinguished Professor Award recipient, will be the keynote speaker at both commencement events.

The faculty member who earns the University’s prestigious Distinguished Professor Award in May serves as commencement speaker at APSU’s fall graduation. [Read more]

APSU College of Business plans two Graduate Management Admission Test prep workshops

The GMAT measures verbal, mathematical and analytical and writing skills. Two workshops, one in math and the other in language skills and writing, will be available to help prepare test-takers succeed in these areas. [Read more]

Reagan Giving Circle at APSU to have 1st Award Luncheon

Reagan Giving CircleClarksville, TN – The Reagan Giving Circle at Austin Peay State University will award scholarships to APSU female students during its first award ceremony next month.

The ceremony will be at 11:30am, Tuesday, May 1st in the Morgan University Center Ballroom. Tickets are $25.00 per person.

Featured speaker will be Janet Ayers, president of the Ayers Foundation and the 2007 Association of Fundraising Professionals Philanthropist of the Year, who in 2006 gave more than $3.4 million to support community organizations in Tennessee and in the previous three years had personally given or pledged more than $27 million. Austin Peay State University students competing in CFA Institute Research Challenge

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Students from Austin Peay State University will be competing in the local challenge CFA Institute Research Challenge on March 5th in Nashville, TN.

Last year, nearly 2,500 students from more than 546 universities in 45 countries participated in the CFA Institute Research Challenge, a global competition that tests students’ analytic, valuation, report writing and presentation skills. The CFA societies will host challenges with nearby universities and select one winning team based on the students’ research report and presentation. [Read more]

New Reagan Giving Circle at Austin Peay State University receives $10,000 boost in honor of Marketing Professor

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – For more than a decade, Dr. Carmen Reagan has served on the Delta Dental of Tennessee board of directors, helping the organization to expand across Tennessee.

“We relied on her for her corporate citizenship,” said Tom Perry, chief financial officer and an alumnus of Austin Peay State University. He graduated in 1973, having been a student of Reagan’s in the APSU College of Business.

It was fitting then that Perry presented a $10,000 check from Delta Dental to help jumpstart the new Reagan Giving Circle program. The check presentation was made November 8th during a reception to launch officially the giving program in honor of Reagan.
