APSU, Google to lead drone-building workshops in preview of new InnovaTN Games at Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – On September 7th, Austin Peay State University (APSU), the City of Clarksville and Google will team up at Clarksville’s annual Riverfest Celebration to host a preview of the InnovaTN Games, a hands-on engineering competition designed to get young people excited about STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

This night-time, lighted Christmas parade is scheduled for 5:00pm Saturday, December 1st, 2018 in downtown Clarksville.
Three time cancer survivor Kristie Mixon will be this year’s grand marshal. Join Clarksville Mayor McMillan for the official tree lighting ceremony on Public Square immediately after the parade.

Clarksville, TN – Three Clarksvillians will be honored this Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Arts and Heritage Development Council for their achievements in art and in preserving our heritage.
Ceramicists Ken and Melody Shipley will receive the Lifetime Achievement in Art award, and Dr. Minoa Uffelman, Austin Peay State University history professor, will receive the Lifetime Achievement in Heritage award.
The awards ceremony will begin at 5:00pm at Emerald Hill on the Austin Peay campus.
