Clarksville, TN – It’s official – Austin Peay State University (APSU) is the fastest-growing public university in the state.
At a time when most colleges and universities are struggling to attract students, Austin Peay State University’s 4.7 percent increase far outpaced other schools and helped the University set a record enrollment this fall with 10,954 students.
High schoolers experience campus life during Austin Peay’s AP Day on October 6th

Clarksville, TN – When Lynzie Averitt started looking at colleges last fall, she thought she’d end up at the University of Tennessee at Martin. But then, in October of 2017, the Houston County High School senior decided to visit Austin Peay State University for AP Day.
“That made the decision for me,” Averitt said. “I came to AP Day, and that’s the day I decided to come to Austin Peay. I just loved the atmosphere and all the stuff the University offered. For me, the major deciding factor was AP Day.”
Spring 2018 AP Day for prospective APSU students is February 3rd

Clarksville, TN – High school students interested in knowing more about attending Austin Peay State University are encouraged to visit campus during Spring 2018 AP Day on Saturday, February 3rd.
During AP Day, prospective students can tour campus, meet with academic departments and student organizations and hear from important offices such as admissions, housing and financial aid.
Acuff Circle awards first fine arts scholarship

Clarksville, TN – Michael Mason, an Austin Peay State University theatre major, was recently awarded the first Acuff Circle of Excellence endowed scholarship in the fine arts at APSU.
The Acuff Circle of Excellence, a non-profit organization affiliated with the Austin Peay Foundation, serves as a patron society of the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts. Its purpose is to advance the importance of arts and culture at Austin Peay and in the community.
Austin Peay State University Physics Club named outstanding chapter

Clarksville, TN – Last year, members of Austin Peay State University’s Society of Physics Students (SPS) chapter sent an email to the national organization, loaded with 45 megabytes of attachments.
Somehow, the email made it to College Park, MD, where officials probably spent weeks wading through hundreds of images and documents detailing all the activities the APSU club, known Del Square Psi, had participated in throughout the year.
