Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Fright on Franklin, the City’s annual Halloween festival, will take place on Saturday, October 25th, in Downtown Clarksville from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

At this time, Clarksville Parks and Recreation is accepting costume contest registration at www.recpro.cityofclarksville.com. Space is limited and filling quickly.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Back to School Splash is currently full

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Due to an overwhelming response, the 2nd annual Back to School Splash has reached registration capacity.

The Back to School Splash will provide free school supplies and a fun pool party to a total of 600, upcoming Kindergarten-12th graders, at the New Providence Pool and Beachaven Pool on August 2nd, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Clarksville’s Movies in the Park to feature ‘Monsters University’ this Saturday, July 12th

Clarksville Parks and Recreation's Movies in the ParkClarksville, TN – Movies in the Park, the City’s free, outdoor movie series, continues Saturday, July 12th, 2014 at Heritage Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road, Clarksville. ‘Monsters University,’ rated G, and brought to you by Altra Federal Credit Union, will be shown at approximately 8:30pm (dependent on sunset).

Monsters University is about Mike, a young monster who dreams of being scary when he grows up. When he grows up, Mike enrolls at Monsters University as a first year scare major. There, he meets Sulley, someone he’s not exactly friends with.

Altra Federal Credit UnionClarksville, TN – Altra Federal Credit Union raised over $5,000 nationally with its one day Swipe Away Hunger Campaign. “Hunger continues to be a real problem in the communities we serve, stated Cheryl Dutton, Vice President of Marketing for Altra Federal Credit Union. “Besides the financial contribution achieved by the campaign, Swipe Away Hunger also generated awareness of the increasing need our communities face in feeding the hungry.”
