Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Healthcare. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.
Clarksville BBQ Bash returning to Liberty Park

The Clarksville BBQ Bash is free to the public and will take place beginning at 11:00am, Saturday, October 20th, 2018 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park, 1188 Cumberland Drive.

Clarksville, TN – On October 2nd, 2017, the Blood Assurance Blood Mobile and the F&M FunMobile are teaming up for a Blood Drive at F&M Bank’s Main Office parking lot located at 50 Franklin Street in Downtown Clarksville. The event will go from 10:00am until 3:00pm.
Blood Assurance will be giving all donors a FREE “One Cool Donor” t-shirt and your choice of “I Bleed” football themed socks! You will also be entered to win a $250.00 gift card to Walmart!
The F&M FunMobile will be on site with FREE hot dogs, popcorn and drinks!!
APSU Department of Art + Design unveils 2017-2018 exhibition and visiting artist schedule

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Department of Art + Design recently unveiled its 2017-18 season of exhibitions and visiting speakers. Generously supported by the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA), the Department of Art + Design is able to bring nationally and internationally recognized artists and thinkers directly to Clarksville with programming that is free and open to the public.

Clarksville hosted Weekend Sporting Events Bring 8,300 people, $3.2 Million to Local Economy

Clarksville, TN – Visit Clarksville welcomed two major events this weekend that, combined, pumped over $3.2 million into the local economy.
The Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA) Track & Field State Championships brought some 2,520 visitors, including 600 athletes, who competed at Austin Peay State University’s Fortera Stadium for top medals in discus throw, high jump, long jump, shot put along with multiple track events.

Intertribal Powwow celebrates Native Traditions at Port Royal

Clarksville, TN – This past weekend, October 8th and 9th, hundreds of people descended on Port Royal State Park to attend the 19th Annual Intertribal Powwow and 10th Annual Trail of Tears Memorial Walk.
The event kicked off with the Trail of Tears Memorial Walk which symbolizes the return of Native Americans via the trail that took them to the Oklahoma Territories in the 1830s. During that time around 125,000 Native Americans were resettled into Indian territory which is around modern-day Oklahoma.
