Austin Peay State University honors distinguished individuals with alumni awards at Homecoming

Clarksville, TN – During a special alumni awards ceremony on Saturday, October 24th, Austin Peay State University honored six distinguished individuals as part of its 2015 Homecoming celebration.
This year’s honorees were Outstanding Service Award recipients Maggie Kulback (’77) and Mike O’Malley; Outstanding Young Alumnus Award recipients Michael Wall (’00) and Chad Kimmel (’02); and Outstanding Alumni Award recipients Fred Landiss (’69) and Dr. Joe Greer (’70).

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Veterans Service Organization is hosting its annual Memorial Day Ceremony at 10:00am, May 28th, at Veterans Memorial Park, Clarksville.

A New Play by Robert Tonner
Clarksville, TN – Fronkensteen continues it’s first season next week staging Heart of Glass by local playwright Robert Tonner.
Heart of Glass is the story of Tabitha, a successful officer in the Air Force, who tries to take back control over her life and kick out the piece of trash boyfriend that’s been leeching off of her while she’s been deployed. Operation Joint Dawn

Joint Contracting Exercise
Fort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell is hosting 115 contingency contracting officers during Operation Joint Dawn January 17th – February 5th.
Exercise participants are preparing to deploy within the next 12 months to Iraq, Afghanistan and Qatar. Participants include active Army and Air Force, Army National Guard, and Army Reservists from 50 locations, including Alaska, Japan and Hawaii.
The exercise was designed to train Soldiers on “warrior tasks” in addition to a variety of contracting-specific tasks.
