Clarksville, TN – One of the most enduring pieces of American literature takes to the stage of Clarksville’s oldest professional theatre, the Roxy Regional Theatre, this spring.
Based on Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning coming-of-age novel about a man wrongly convicted and persecuted for a crime on the basis of his skin color, “To Kill A Mockingbird” opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, March 8th, at 8:00pm.
In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the full price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

Clarksville, TN – Although nearly 15,000 women served in Vietnam during the war, at that time there was little to no media coverage about these unsung heroes’ experiences and sacrifices, or their homecomings and readjustment difficulties.
This month, the Roxy Regional Theatre explores the often overlooked contributions of women in service with Shirley Lauro’s “A Piece of my Heart”, opening Friday, April 13th, at 8:00pm. In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

APSU’s CECA announces Collaborations at 2018 Ovation Awards

Clarksville, TN – The 2018 Ovation Awards, presented by the Austin Peay State University Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA, or “seek-ah”), will take place on Sunday, April 8th, at the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall at 2:00pm.
The Awards Ceremony will be presented in a new format this year, with an assortment of collaborative performances by APSU and community ensembles.
Local Auditions for Roxy Regional Theatre’s SEASON 35 on Saturday, July 29th

Clarksville, TN – Local auditions for the Roxy Regional Theatre’s 2017-2018 season will be held Saturday, July 29th, 2017 beginning at 10:00am.
Auditions, which are for ages 18 and up, are by appointment only. Paying and non-paying roles are available, but actors must be able to attend daytime rehearsals and performances.
Productions slated for SEASON 35 at the Roxy Regional Theatre include The Wizard of Oz, 35mm: A Musical Exhibition, Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show, A Midsummer Night’s Dream: The Musical, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues, A Raisin in the Sun, Fully Committed, Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, A Piece of My Heart, Marilyn/God, Annie Jr., Dames at Sea and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!
