Lionel Bart’s “Oliver!” to Lead Roxy Regional Theatre’s 33rd Season

Clarksville, TN – In 1983 an abandoned movie house was saved from the wrecking ball, and on November 3rd, what has become the cornerstone of arts and entertainment in Clarksville-Montgomery County opened to a grand ovation.
Through grit, determination and support from likeminded individuals, the Roxy Regional Theatre is now poised to celebrate 33 years of providing an educational and artistic outlet for the Southeast.
Featuring world premieres, red-hot musicals, theatre standards and fantastic children’s programming, the Roxy Regional Theatre’s 2015-2016 mainstage season will open on September 25th with Charles Dickens’ classic tale of the boy who asked for more, Lionel Bart’s “Oliver!”
Scrooge Returns to the Roxy Regional Theatre in “A Christmas Carol”, December 10th – December 20th

Clarksville, TN – A holiday tradition returns to the corner of Franklin and First! John McDonald is Ebenezer Scrooge in the Roxy Regional Theatre’s production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”, December 10th – December 20th.
Under the direction of Tom Thayer, Dickens’ classic tale of Christmases Past, Present and Future meets such holiday standards as “Deck the Halls,” “Silent Night,” “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” and more.

Roxy Regional Theatre to hold Auditions for prospective Cratchit Children for “A Christmas Carol” on October 27th

Clarksville, TN – Local youth will have the opportunity to work alongside professional actors in “A Christmas Carol” when the Roxy Regional Theatre holds auditions for the Cratchit children on Monday, October 27th, at 5:00pm.
The Roxy will be selecting multiple casts of the Cratchit children (Martha, Peter, Belinda and Tiny Tim), so children need not be able to participate in all performances. Interested auditionees do not need to prepare anything, as a script will be provided for the audition, but they must be able to read.

Kendall Anne Thompson – A Year at the Roxy Regional Theatre

Clarksville, TN – Kendall Anne Thompson first graced the stage of the Roxy Regional Theatre on September 17th ,2010 as the green girl in “SHOUT! The Mod Musical”. Her natural charisma, charm and talent made her an instant favorite of Roxy patrons.
“Kendall Anne Thompson will forever be known to Roxy fans as ‘The Green Girl,’ a moniker she justifiably won while performing her star turn last season in ‘Shout: The Mod Musical’” stated John McDonald.

Happy New Year!
Clarksville, TN – We are excited to be back at the Roxy Regional Theatre after a couple of weeks off for the holidays. The staff has come back rested and some – tanner than others.
We are also excited to welcome back some friendly faces and a few new faces to the acting company this winter as the prepare to present the next several shows in our 29th season.

With the holidays being such an important time to us all, and our actors having to give up some of these holiday traditions to be apart of this cast, I thought it would be good for us all to reflect on what makes Christmas special to us.
