Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County Education Foundation, 100% Graduation Committee and event sponsors announce the 3rd Annual Get Motivated Class of 2018 assembly for all Clarksville-Montgomery County freshmen.
This assembly will be held on the campus of Austin Peay State University at the Dunn Center on Thursday, October 9th at 10:00am.
Clarksville Montgomery County Schools Director Receives National Award

Montgomery County, TN – Director of Schools Dr. B. J. Worthington was presented with the Bob Grossman Leadership in School Communications Award last week by the National School Public Relations Association at its 60th annual national seminar in San Diego, CA.
Worthington’s selection recognizes him as practicing superintendent of schools or CEO of an education agency, service center or intermediate unit for outstanding leadership in school public relations and communication.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of October.
On October 9th-11th, the Chamber will be hosting a Membership Event to help spread the word of the value and importance of being a part of the local Chamber. Over the two and a half day drive, over 100 volunteers will race against the clock and each other to sign up new Chamber members all while creating awareness for the organization. Clarksville, TN – The 100% Graduation is Clarksville’s Business committee and presenting business sponsors announce the first ever Get Motivated…2016 assembly for all Clarksville-Montgomery County freshmen.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation to be Presented Bank of America Workforce Development Grant

Clarksville, TN – A $5,000 Bank of America grant will be awarded Friday to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation to support a program designed to give students a dose of financial reality. The check presentation will be at 2:00pm at Bank of America located at 215 Legion and Second streets.
The grant will fund the “Reality Check Program” offered to all CMCSS ninth-graders. Students will be given the opportunity to role-play as a 25-year-old providing sole or primary support of their household. Students will visit 14 stations where they make financial decisions for their household, while staying within a monthly budget. [Read more]
Smith Lauded for Volunteer Effort

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee School Boards Association has selected David B. Smith as its 2011 Volunteer for his leadership and work in the CMCSS 100% Graduation is Clarksville’s Business project.
Launched in 2008, the 100% Graduation Project Team has had Smith’s leadership and involvement from the start.
