Parents of late APSU student establish the Tyler Head Agriculture Memorial Endowment

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) agriculture student Tyler Head passed away on February 3rd, 2012. He was only 20 years old. In May of that year, his parents, Chuck Head and Gina Head Hieber, made a gift to the APSU Foundation, establishing a pass-through scholarship to honor his memory.

That’s the question Dr. Karen Meisch, interim dean of the Austin Peay State University (APSu) College of STEM, and her team answered this week with 140 Sango Elementary School first-graders, who visited the APSU campus May 9th, 2019 for a morning of scientific demonstrations.

APSU Department of Theatre, Dance and Nashville Children’s Theatre partner for Apprentice Program

APSU student Sara Alexander receives exchange scholarship to German university

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Sara Alexander, an Austin Peay State University (APSU) graduate student recently received an award to attend one of the oldest and most highly ranked universities in Europe this summer.

Alexander, who is finishing up a master’s in history and a master’s in teaching, will attend Germany’s Heidelberg University in August.

APSU adds elementary, middle school summer coding camps

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) is expanding its coding camps this summer to include elementary and middle school students after a successful 2018.

And the new campers will get a bonus: They’ll program and work with a robot.
