APSU cuts Out-Of-State Tuition nearly in half
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) student Yvette Anderson didn’t want to spend another winter in the Midwest, with its fierce winds, freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall.
The Indianapolis-native had dreams of milder weather, so when she heard a school in Clarksville, Tennessee, was actively recruiting students from other states, she decided to give it a look.

Clarksville, TN – An Austin Peay State University (APSU) student is one of 100 nationwide to earn a full $22,000 scholarship for advanced cybersecurity training at the SANS Technology Institute next year.

Clarksville, TN – Hampton Freeman, a student success coach embedded at Austin Peay State University (ASPU), said it takes about 10 minutes for students to relax and trust him.
“When they come in, they’ll put their bookbag down very neatly and make sure they’re sitting up straight,” he said. “Then later, I’ll notice them scooting back, crossing their legs, and you can just see from their posture, they’re comfortable.”

Clarksville Association of Realtors Hosts Thanksgiving For All

APSU and Fort Campbell partner for wetlands research on post
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) and the Fort Campbell Army installation deepened their growing relationship on November 6th, 2019 when the two organizations initiated an Intergovernmental Support Agreement, allowing APSU faculty and students to identify wetland ecosystems within the 105,000-acre Army post.

APSU team wins site at speed-programming competition

APSU’s WAPX-FM celebrates 35 years as campus radio station
Clarksville, TN – The national anthem was missing. Inside a small, dilapidated building on the Austin Peay State University (APSU) campus, three students frantically searched through vinyl albums and beneath heavy reel-to-reel tapes for the record.
It was the early 1980s, and the clock inside the University’s new radio station, WAPX-FM, was about to hit midnight.
