Clarksville Police Saturation Patrols Over the New Year’s Weekend
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is conducting city-wide impaired driving saturation patrols, partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office, December 30th and 31st, 10:00pm–4:00am.
The intention of the saturation patrols is to detect and apprehend impaired drivers through increased traffic enforcement.
Clarksville Liberty Park Boat Ramp Access Closed for Construction
Clarksville, TN – Beginning immediately, Liberty Park Boat Ramp will be closed to the public. For some time, the boat ramp at Liberty Park has been open for public use, while the rest of the park has remained closed for ongoing construction.

Clarksville Parks & Recreation’s 2nd Annual Sports Festival is seeking exhibitors
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks & Recreation is seeking sports-related businesses and organizations interested in exhibiting at the 2nd Annual Clarksville Sports Festival. The all-day event celebrating the local sports and athletics community will take place March 17th, 2012 from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the APSU Foy Center.
Clarksville Sports Festival features demonstrations of a wide variety of sports, speakers from areas of sports and athletics as well as an exhibitor hall for all of Clarksville’s sports and athletic community to display what they have to offer. Journey to Freedom
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area YMCA is once again offering Journey to Freedom. This small group is limited to 10 participants and meets weekly for an hour and a half. A new group starts January 24th and will meet every Tuesday from 6:30pm–8:00pm through March 20th.
Journey to Freedom is a group for adults of any age who want to self-examine and work toward making healthy changes that will promote joy, hope and peace in their life. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System will offer “Operation Safe Ride” on New Year’s Eve again this year.
The free service is open to anyone who is too impaired to drive home. People who live within the city’s limits can call for a ride between the hours of 11:00pm and 4:00am for a ride home. [Read more]
