Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program invites you to the certification ceremony for Clarksville Pediatric Dentistry.
The Green Ribbon Cutting will be held Thursday, April 5th at 7:30am at the dental center, located at 2297 Rudolphtown Road. We hope you will join us to celebrate this accomplishment.

Austin Peay State University students inducted into nontraditional Student Honor Society
Clarksville, TN – Alpha Delta Psi, the Austin Peay State University chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society for nontraditional students, held its annual induction ceremony on March 24th.
The main goal of Alpha Sigma Lambda is to recognize the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work.

Rivers and Spires Brewfest announces New Beers to be Featured at this years Festival
Clarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Brewfest will feature 70 beer brands and introduce several new beers making their debut at the two-day, outdoor beer festival.
Scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 20th-21st, the inaugural event will have craft beers, food and entertainment. A highlight of the festival is a free concert on Saturday night by Little Big Town.
Red Cross to host first ever Escoffier Dinner
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County chapter of the American Red Cross presents the first annual “Escoffier Dinner, The Art of French Cuisine” at the Looking Glass Restaurant on April 21st at 6:00pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit the local chapter of the Red Cross. Dr. Mac and Linda Edington and Dr. Ernie and Joan DeWald are co-chairing the event together and will host it at the Looking Glass restaurant. Wines will be provided by Fifth City Wine. Both Fifth City Wine and the Looking Glass are the major sponsors for the event.
Clarksville Mayor announces reopening of Boat Ramp at Liberty Park
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan announces that that boat ramp at Liberty Park will be reopened for public use on Friday, March 29th, 2012, at noon.
“I know that a lot of people are anxious to use this ramp. The weather is beautiful and the water is inviting. As of noon Friday, the ramp will be open and ready for boaters to use,” Mayor McMillan said. “This is an important step as we ready Liberty Park and the Marina for use this summer.”
Austin Peay State University physics student builds Spectrometer for Observatory
Clarksville, TN – In the middle of the night, a little sliver of light shines from the doorway of the observatory in the remote farmland of the Austin Peay State University Environmental Education Center.
Inside, maybe with a cup of coffee or a soda to keep her awake, is APSU physics student Katie Boedges, waiting for the Cat’s Eye Nebula to appear in the night sky.

Clarksville, TN – The Kleeman Community Center will be hosting a Latin American Cultural Festival on Saturday, April 28th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

Austin Peay State University to host Great STEM Challenge Exposition on April 3rd
Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Center will host the Great STEM Challenge Exposition from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on April 3rd in the campus’ Dunn Center.
The University’s science, engineering and mathematics faculty will interview the student teams from STEM classes in local elementary and middle schools. [Read more]
