Clarksville-Montgomery County School System Ninth Graders to get a Reality Check
Montgomery County, TN – For the second year, ninth graders in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System are going to get a reality check.
The Reality Check Program, which was underwritten by a grant from Bank of America, is a real life simulation activity designed to give students the opportunity to experience the responsibilities of a 25-year-old and providing sole or primary support of their household.
Governor’s Square Mall will host their First Annual Community Health Fair this Saturday, September 15th
Clarksville, TN – Governor’s Square Mall will be hosting our first annual community health fair on Saturday, September 15th from 10:00am-3:00pm.
Exhibitors will be set up in Center Court and Dick’s Sporting Goods Court. The first 250 visitors at Center Court will receive a goody bag!

James Corlew Chevrolet Cadillac teams up with Royals Futbol Club to help raise thousands of dollars for youth soccer program
Clarksville, TN –
In the spirit of teamwork taught by youth sports, James Corlew Chevrolet Cadillac is teaming up with Royals Futbol Club to provide their players and coaches with soccer kits filled with equipment bags, pop-up nets, sport cones, scrimmage vests, t-shirts, a sponsorship check and an opportunity to help them raise funds.
Royals Futbol Club will have the opportunity to raise as much as $10,000 through a fundraising opportunity where one lucky recipient will win his or her choice of a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox or 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. Another lucky winner will receive a Home Entertainment Package.

Volunteer for the 6th Annual Wags to Witches Fur Ball Bash
Clarksville, TN – The Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County will be holding their 6th Annual Wags to Witches Fur Ball Bash Saturday, October 20th from 7:00pm to Midnight. This year’s theme is “Scary Fairy Tales”.
This event has turned out to be one of their best fundraisers thanks in large part of many, many volunteers. They need your help again this year to raise our goal of $20,000, which goes right back into our community to fund their current programs, services and spay-neuter clinic goals.

Clarksville, TN – In the early 1790s, about 13,000 federal soldiers marched into rural western Pennsylvania to put down a small uprising. The farmers in the area had turned violent, destroying each other’s property, attacking and kidnapping law enforcement officers and formulating plans for an assault on nearby Pittsburgh.
Then-President George Washington was not pleased, so he sent in the troops.
