Sunrise Rotary Club gives $1,000 donation to Montgomery County Imagination Library
Clarksville, TN – The Sunrise Rotary Club has given a $1,000 donation to the Imagination Library of Montgomery County in support of this important early literacy program.
Sunrise Rotary has been a staunch supporter of Imagination Library since its inception in Montgomery County in 2006 and has given well over $30,000 to IL through the years.
Volunteers needed for Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Dream Chasers Group Mentoring Program
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is seeking mentors. Volunteer mentors are needed for the upcoming Dream Chasers Group Mentoring Program.
Mentors will be working with at-risk youth, ages 13-17 in a small group atmosphere. Small group leaders, guided by professionals, will mentor youth as they discuss dealing with negative influences that affect teens and will promote making healthy and informed decisions. [Read more]
Austin Peay State University has 35 Students selected for Who’s Who list of 2012-13
Clarksville, TN – Thirty-five students at Austin Peay State University have been selected for inclusion in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for the 2012-13 academic year.
These 35 students will be officially recognized at the Student Organization and Leader Awards on April 11th, 2013, at APSU. [Read more]
Crow Community Center offers Indoor Soccer for youth
Clarksville, TN – The Crow Community Center’s Indoor Soccer league kicks off January 5th! The 8-week league is open to ages 4-12 years and will teach the fundamentals of soccer.
Games will be held at the Crow Center, located at 211 Richview Road, every Saturday beginning January 5th. Ages 4-6 will play at 9:00am, ages 7-9 will play at 10:00am and ages 10-12 will play at 11:00am each week. [Read more]
Austin Peay State University begins Three-Year Bachelor’s degrees, 3+1 Bachelor’s to Master’s programs in Spring 2013
Clarksville, TN – Beginning with the Spring 2013 semester, students at Austin Peay State University will be able to earn their degrees faster so they can seek employment sooner after graduation.

New Austin Peay State University Program promotes stronger teaching for APSU Professors
Clarksville, TN – A group of seven Austin Peay State University faculty members recently completed a new program at the school aimed at promoting excellence in teaching.
The APSU Office of Academic Affairs, the Title III Center for Teaching and Learning and the APSU Center for Extended and Distance Education recently co-sponsored the Faculty Teaching Program, which solicited a diverse group of top applicants from throughout APSU’s different colleges and academic departments.
