Clarksville’s Roxy Regional Theatre to hold Small Business Saturday Sale November 30th
Clarksville, TN – To coincide with Small Business Saturday this year, the Roxy Regional Theatre will extend regular box office hours to be open the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 30th, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Small Business Saturday, originally conceived in 2010 by American Express, encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local. The Roxy is encouraging patrons to support downtown shops and restaurants this day as a way to give back to small businesses in Historic Downtown Clarksville.

Clarksville Academy Named Apple Distinguished School

Clarksville’s American Red Cross Offers Thanksgiving Cooking and Travel Tips

Clarksville Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed for Thanksgiving Holiday
Clarksville, TN – Several of the Clarksville Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Main Office, located at 104 Public Square, the Indoor Aquatic Center as well as the Kleeman, Crow and Burt-Cobb community centers will be closed in observance of the holiday but will return to normal operating hours after Friday. [Read more]
Rossview High School Student wins License Plate Design Contest
Nashville, TN – Brandon Anderson, a student at Clarksville’s Rossview High School, received first prize in a license plate design contest staged by the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN).
On November 22nd, Anderson received a $1,000 check and was honored by members of TSPN at the high school.
Clarksville Police Department K-9 Graduate
Clarksville, TN – On Friday, November 15th, 2013, Officer Keith Jones and his K-9 partner, Koda, graduated from the Southern Police Canine Inc. training in Nashville, NC.
Officer Jones, the handler, was trained to be well-versed in canine safety and health care, and legal updates and considerations. Handler training was subjected to numerous survival techniques.
