Clarksville Transit System offers free rides in June
Clarksville, TN – Every Saturday in June, the Clarksville Transit System is offering free rides.
“We have so many loyal customers and we want to show them our appreciation,” said Arthur Bing of the Clarksville Transit System. “It is CTS’ 27th anniversary and we want to thank our everyday customers and welcome new riders.”

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to take part in “World’s Largest Swimming Lesson”
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites citizens to take part, as waterparks, pools and other aquatic facilities across the world attempt to break the Guinness World Record of the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson on Friday, June 20th at Beachaven, New Providence, Swan Lake and Smith pools at 10:00am.

Manna Café to host Mobile Pantry at Fellowship Church, June 13th
Clarksville, TN – Manna Café Ministries will conduct a Mobile Pantry on Friday, June 13th at Fellowship Church, 2201 Peacher’s Mill Road, starting at 10:00am.
Please note that the location of this Pantry has been changed from a previously announced site. At this event, Manna Café will be giving away food to anyone in the community needing assistance with groceries.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation reports Liberty Park Pond closed thru Monday, June 9th
Clarksville, TN – In order to provide a fun experience for participants in the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) Youth Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, June 7th, 2014 we ask that the public refrain from using the pond at Liberty Park now through 2:00pm on June 9th, 2014.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to host the 2nd Annual Wonder Kids Triathlon to be held August 2nd!
This event is open to boys and girls ages 3-12 and will take place at New Providence Pool and surrounding area of 166 Cunningham Lane.
Foster Care Awareness Family Day Celebration
Clarksville, TN – May 17th marked the 5th Annual Foster Care Awareness Family Day Celebration. Over 450 members of the Clarksville Community gathered together to learn about becoming a foster parent at the LEAP Plaza.
Of those that attended there were a total of 9 that signed up to become foster parents.
APSU to host 2nd Gov Color Run September 27th, 2014
Clarksville, TN – Last September, several sane and reasonable Austin Peay State University students closed their eyes and intentionally ran through clouds of non-toxic colored starch.
When they emerged from the haze, their hair was green, their skin was blue and their clothes were covered in splotches of yellow. And, more importantly, almost all of them were smiling.

Manna Café to host “Grits N Gravy” Fundraiser June 19th
Clarksville, TN – Manna Café Ministries is holding “Grits and Gravy,” a fundraiser breakfast sponsored by Align MD and Riverview Inn, on June 19th from 7:00am to 9:00am at Riverview Inn (50 College Street).

APSU now offering graduate degree in engineering technology
Clarksville, TN – Earlier this year, the Tennessee Higher Education Commission approved a new graduate degree program at Austin Peay State University – a Master of Science in Engineering Technology.
The program, developed in response to the needs of industrial employers in this area, is currently accepting students for the Fall 2014 semester.
Montgomery County to hold Rotary Park ADA Trail Ribbon Cutting Thursday, June 5th
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government is pleased to announce the completion of the new ADA Trail at Rotary Park. We invite the public to join us for a trail ribbon cutting on Thursday, June 5th at 5:00pm.
