Imagination Playground opens at Downtown Commons
Clarksville, TN – A lot has been going on at Downtown Commons, which opened just last week. Saturday afternoon, another of the park’s much anticipated components was unveiled, the Imagination Playground.
Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett was on hand. He took a few moments to welcome a crowd of more than 100 people to Clarksville’s newest park.

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, April 28th, 2018 the Cumberland Winds Concert Band will bring its spring concert to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library at 1:00pm.

Clarksville, TN – The “Planters Bank Presents…” film series to show the documentary “88 Days in the Mother Lode – Mark Twain Finds His Voice” this Sunday, April 22nd, 2018 at the Roxy Regional Theatre at 4:00pm.
This PBS documentary tells the story of 29 year old Samuel Clemens, who in the fall of 1864 hid out from the San Francisco police in the cabin of the brother of a friend near Angels Camp, in the California Sierra foothills.
Find out how 88 days in the mother lode, and a story about a jumping frog, helped propel Mark Twain from local newspaper writer to international celebrity.

Friends of the Library Spring Used Book Sale to be held April 26th-April 28th
Clarksville, TN – The Friends of the Library Spring Used Book Sale begins this Thursday, April 26h at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library. Opening night will be a Friends-only preview from 4:00pm–7:00pm.
Anyone may join the Friends of the Library for $5.00 at the door. The book sale will be open to the public on Friday, April 27th from 9:00am–5:00pm and Saturday, April 28th from 9:00am–2:00pm.

Downtown Artists Co-op holds Annual Art Auction & Gala event
Clarksville, TN – F&M Bank’s Franklin Room was packed Friday night with art lovers and avid supporters of the Downtown Artists Co-op, for the DAC’s Annual Art Auction & Gala.
This year’s event featured great food, live music and an incredible selection of artwork by local artists, that was auctioned throughout the evening. There were ten offerings in the live auction, including works by Peggy Bonnington, Janet Felts, Betty Liles and others, and more than a dozen pieces in the silent auction.

Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, March 21st, 2018 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Healthcare. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.

Clarksville Association of Realtors to host Appetite For Art, April 28th
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Association of Realtors® (CAR) will host their 11th annual FUEL fundraiser, Appetite For Art, on Saturday, April 28st, 2018.
This event will include a “farm to table” dinner at The Ruby Cora (2300 Gunn Road, Adams, TN). The dinner will include food from local farmers and vendors, and will showcase artwork from Montgomery County students.
