Clarksville, TN – Several people come together to sponsor the return of the Downtown Commons Winter Ice Rink.
On Wednesday, November 21st, 2018 Downtown Commons Winter Ice Rink sponsors gathered to unveil new elements of the ice-skating operations.
In addition to the ice rink being 49% larger than last year, F&M Bank returns as the Winter Ice Rink Title Sponsor with a custom mural wall that was painted by Clarksville Academy students.
“The F&M Bank mural wall is a great place for people to take pictures that will commemorate their time on the ice,” stated Paula Atkins Downtown Commons Event Manager.

Mary Contrary (Annette Funicello) is set to marry Tom Piper (Tommy Sands) when he is kidnapped by two goons working for the evil Barnaby (Ray Bolger), who wants to marry Mary for her inheritance. Instead of killing Tom as instructed, the pair sell him to Gypsies, which allows Tom to rescue Mary.

Dunbar Cave State Park, Tennessee State Parks Host Free Hikes the Day After Thanksgiving

Nashville, TN – Tennessee State Parks will offer free, guided hikes at all 56 state parks the day after Thanksgiving, November 23rd, 2018. Dunbar Cave State Park will be holding an “After Thanksgiving Hike” Wednesday.
“Tennessee’s state parks are once again offering the opportunity to get outdoors the day after Thanksgiving to engage in healthy, fun activities,” said Brock Hill, deputy commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. “It’s a chance to explore the state parks with loved ones around the holidays, with skilled rangers leading the way.”

In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 6:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County’s annual Veterans Day Parade began with an opening ceremony on the steps of the court house featuring special guest speaker Dr. David A. Wesner, followed by dozens of entries performing for thousands of spectators on Clarksville’s downtown streets.
