Clarksville, TN – Can you make an awesome film using an iPhone? Do you animate or use stop motion?
Clarksville Parks and Recreation has partnered with the Roxy Regional Theatre to give aspiring and professional filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their talents on the big screen as part of the Clarksville Film Festival scheduled for February 15th-17th.
Downtown Commons Ice Rink to host Mayor vs. General Second Annual Broomball Game, January 16th

Montgomery County, TN – The public is invited to attend the second annual Broomball match between Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett and Fort Campbell’s Major General Andrew Poppas to a backyard broomball game on January 16th, 2019 at 6:00pm at the Downtown Commons Winter Ice Rink.
Broomball is a variation of ice hockey played on ice without skates and with brooms and a ball instead of sticks and a puck. Running around in shoes on ice while trying to “sweep” a ball into a goal presents a unique challenge that includes a lot of slipping, sliding and falling.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation celebrates Clarksville BCycle third year

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation will celebrate the third anniversary of Clarksville’s popular bike share program, Clarksville BCycle, with free bike rides. Third-year milestones include 9,600 trips that covered almost 65,000 miles and allowed riders to burn 2.5 million calories.
Residents are invited to use the promo code “1320” when checking out a bike from one of Clarksville BCycle’s five stations from January 13th-20th to receive a free 60-minute bike ride. Usage fees apply after the first hour.
Downtown Commons to hold Nashville Predators Watch Party, Friday

Montgomery County, TN – Join us at Downtown Commons on Friday, January 4th, 2019 as the Nashville Predators take on the Detroit Red Wings. Watch party starts at 4:00pm. Game begins at 6:30pm.
GNASH and the Energy Team will be there too! Don’t forget your blankets, chairs and warm clothes. Golly G’s will be open with wonderful sweets, popcorn and warm drinks! Ice cream will also be available for the brave souls.

Clarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is located in historic downtown Clarksville, Tennessee. Come explore an entire city block featuring large gallery spaces filled with fine art, science and history.
Some of the events in January at the Museum are: Christmas Town, The Nature of Things: Alison & Frank Lyne, New to the Collection, Eric L. Hansen: The Dollhouse Series, Hands-on Activities: Winter Science and Champagne & Chocolate Fundraiser.

Clarksville, TN – As December comes to a close, so does some of the exhibits at the Customs House Museum amd Cultural Center. Viewers have until December 31st to take in the photography of Price Harrison and the paintings of award-winning artist Camille Engel.
Nashville-based painter Camille Engel is a self-taught artist known for her hyper-realism nature paintings. Engel works in the “indirect layering” technique of the Dutch Masters to create her art.

Aqua Cycling and Infant Swimming Resource Self-Rescue classes to be held at Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s New Providence Pool.
Clarksville Civil War Roundtable to hold next meeting on December 19th, 2018

Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, December 19th, 2018 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Heathcare. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.
