The professionally juried exhibition opened in The New Gallery on April 1st and runs through April 24th, 2019.
Clarksville Artist Terri Jordan Exhibits New Work at Roxy Regional Theatre
Clarksville, TN – New paintings by Terri Jordan are currently on exhibit in the Peg Harvill Gallery of the Roxy Regional Theatre. Along with the artist’s signature female form are small oil paintings of fanciful flowers and fruit, created in a soft palette of yellows, lavenders and pinks.

This month, Clarksville’s oldest professional theatre, the Roxy Regional Theatre, is taking audiences from Versailles to the guillotine with a stylistic and satirical retelling of the life and final days of the most famous queen of France.
A contemporary twist on a historical tale, David Adjmi’s “Marie Antoinette” opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, April 12th, at 8:00pm.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to host Homesteading Classes

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is excited to offer the following homesteading classes in the coming weeks.
How to Make a Seed Bomb will be held from 10:00am to noon, Saturday, April 13th at Billy Dunlop Park. Clarksville City Forester Kathrine Killebrew will teach participants how to make seed bombs and use them to grow flowers.

Local Auditions for “Hair”, “Damn Yankees” and Roxy Regional Theatre’s Season 37 to be held on Saturday, April 13th

Clarksville, TN – Local auditions for the Roxy Regional Theatre’s summer productions of the ’60s musical “Hair” and the baseball musical comedy “Damn Yankees”, as well as the 2019-2020 season, will be held Saturday, April 13th, 2019 beginning at 1:00pm.
Auditions, which are for ages 18 and up, are by appointment only. Actors must be able to attend daytime rehearsals and performances.

Dunbar Cave State Park, Port Royal State Historic Park to host Spring Hikes, March 23rd

Clarksville, TN – With warmer weather coming, Dunbar Cave State Park and Port Royal State Historic Park are hosting free guided spring hikes led by park rangers on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019.
The hikes fit every level, from short easy-to-walk trails to longer treks through more adventurous terrain, each featuring the natural settings that are so diverse across the state.
“The spring hikes are a great way to explore our parks, as well as get to know other people who share the outdoors in a group setting,” said Anne Marshall, acting deputy commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
