Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department brings back Aqua Zumba to the City pools
Clarksville, TN – Enjoy the Zumba classes you love, with a splash, Aqua Zumba is back! The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will have Aqua Zumba classes in two locations this summer.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Beachaven Pool, located at 390 Gaylewood Drive, at 5:00pm beginning June 5th as well as on Wednesdays at the New Providence Pool, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, at 8:00am beginning June 6th. «Read the rest of this article»

Dr. Victoria McCarthy and Dr. Robyn Hulsart, both associate professors of professional studies, won best conference paper at the May 2012 conference of The Academic Forum. APSU gets International Recognition for Student Success Initiative
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) is harnessing “the Netflix effect” to new heights.
More than a year ago, APSU launched Degree Compass, a course recommendation system to help students stay on track toward graduation by. Clarksville City Offices Closed Monday, May 28th, 2012
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan is reminding everyone that the City of Clarksville offices will be closed on Monday, May 28th, 2012 in observance of Memorial Day.
“Our military family is a vital part of our community,” said Mayor McMillan, “and I cannot thank them enough for their service, dedication and courage. They make our nation safer and stronger and they make our community better. I am asking everyone in Clarksville to join me in remembering those brave men and women who gave their lives in service to us and in thanking those who are serving today.”
Clarksville City offices will re-open on Tuesday, May 29th, 2012 for regularly scheduled hours.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation celebrates National Trails Day with Greenway clean-up
Clarksville, TN – Saturday, June 2nd is National Trails Day! The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department and “Friends of the Clarksville Greenway” are celebrating with a clean-up from 8:00am to 10:00am at the Clarksville Greenway, located at 1101 Pollard Road.
National Trails Day, organized by the American Hiking Society, is celebrated across the country as a way to inspire the public to discover and learn about our nation’s trail system. Those interested in volunteering can contact Melissa Adkins at 931.645.7476
