Billy Dunlop Park will be closed November 6th for Clarksville Police Training
Clarksville, TN – Billy Dunlop Park, located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road, will be closed to the public Tuesday, November 6th, 2012 as the Clarksville Police Department conducts training.
The park will reopen to the public at dawn on Wednesday, November 7th, 2012.

Acuff Chair of Excellence recipient and Award Winning Writer David Huddle to read at APSU on November 8th
Clarksville, TN – Every autumn, the Library of Virginia honors some of the nation’s top writers with its annual Virginia Literary Awards. Previous winners include such noted authors as Richard Bausch, Barbara Kingsolver and Geraldine Brooks.
Earlier this month, the Library presented its 2012 Emyl Jenkins Sexton Literary Award for Fiction to another esteemed writer – Austin Peay State University’s 2012-13 Acuff Chair of Excellence recipient David Huddle.

Companies near and far have interest in APSU Chemical Engineering Technology Graduates
Clarksville, TN – A map of the United States hangs in an upstairs hallway of Austin Peay State University’s Hemlock Semiconductor Building (HSC) with a sign above it that reads, “Where are they now?” The map is covered with arrows pointing to the companies nationwide where graduates of the University’s four-year-old Chemical Engineering Technology Program (ChET) now work.
“As you can see, it is concentrated around middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky,” Dr. Chester Little, director of the APSU ChET program, said. “I have one there in Topeka, KS, and one in Los Angeles. One in Ohio.”

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Roller Derby’s Red River Sirens present “Riot of the Ranks”- Betty Bombers vs. Suzy Sailors.
The Red River Sirens have divided their team a second time this season to form the Betty Bombers and the Suzy Sailors in an intra-league bout on Saturday, November 10th at Magic Wheels, 1671 Fort Campbell Boulevard. This is the end of our 2012 season and we wanted to go out with a bang!
