Clarksville, TN – Field trips and group tours are available at the Fort Defiance Interpretive Center and Civil War Park. Depending on your preference and the size of your group, tours last approximately 2 hours and can include lunch on the grounds.

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department now offers Pool Party Packages for those wishing to celebrate at the indoor pool!
Pool Party Packages are available during regular operating hours for parties of 10-20 people. Groups of more than 20 can be booked as a private party. Reservations must be made in advance through the Parks and Recreation Department.

Registration for Austin Peay State University Community School for the Arts Spring Semester of classes opens December 3rd
Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Community School for the Arts is gearing up for another busy semester of classes this spring, and area adults and children interested in pursuing their creative interests are encouraged to register beginning December 3rd.

Clarksville Mayor McMillan receives Hank Thompson Award
Clarksville, TN – At the recent Greater Nashville Regional Council meeting, Mayor Kim McMillan was presented with The Hank Thompson Award.
The award was created in honor of R. J. “Hank” Thompson (former Sumner County Executive, Hendersonville Mayor and two-time Greater Nashville Regional Council President) and is presented to an outstanding individual in the region to recognize personal and political integrity.

APSU Provost Lecture Series to discuss protein secondary structure prediction

Clarksville, TN – Protein secondary structure prediction from its amino acid sequence is a well studied computational problem in bioinformatics and data mining, and it is one that an Austin Peay State University computer science faculty member will discuss from his latest research as part of the next Provost Lecture Series at APSU.
Dr. Leong Lee, assistant professor in the APSU Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, will present at 3:00pm, Thursday, November 29th in the Morgan University Center, Room 303. Sheriff Norman Lewis Memorial Blood Drive
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government partnered with the American Red Cross to host a Sheriff Norman Lewis Memorial Blood Drive Tuesday, November 27th at the William O. Beach Civic Hall.

Crow Community Center offers Indoor Soccer for youth
Clarksville, TN – The Crow Community Center’s Indoor Soccer league kicks off January 5th! The 8-week league is open to ages 4-12 years and will teach the fundamentals of soccer.
