Port Royal State Park History Lecture Series presents “Cherokee – European Relations in the 18th Century” July 9th
Adams, TN – At 7:00pm July 9th, Port Royal State Park will hold their next session of the 2013 History Lecture Series “Remembering Indian Removal”. These lectures are presented by area historians and authors with most topics being part of the Trail of Tears 175th anniversary series.
This Tuesday, Austin Peay State University’s Kristofer Ray will speak about “Cherokee – European Relations in the 18th Century”.

Roxy Regional Theatre’s “South Pacific” to star Alicia Kelly and John Boehr, July 12th – August 17th
Clarksville, TN – Powerhouse vocalists John Boehr and Alicia Kelly have joined the cast of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “South Pacific” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, July 12th through August 17th.
Recently off of runs as Velma in Chicago with Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas and as Marty in the national tour of Grease, Kelly is a veteran of the Roxy stage, having previously appeared in A Streetcar Named Desire (Blanche), RENT (Maureen) and CATS (Grizabella), among others.

Customs House Museum’s Summer Exhibits features works by three distinct Artists

Clarksville Area Job Fair to have over 40 Employers Participating
Nashville, TN – Tennessee State Representative Curtis Johnson (R–Clarksville) announced he has partnered with the Tennessee Department of Labor, and the City of Clarksville, to host a job fair for the people of Montgomery County and surrounding areas.

Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for July 7th through July 13th, 2013
Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. There are programs for children and adults.
Upcoming events include: Morning Nature Hike, Night Creatures, How to Build and Start a Campfire, Overnight Backpacking Training (Part 1), Wildflowers and so much more!

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to hold second Youth Flag Football co-ed clinic
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation will continue the new Youth Flag Football programming by hosting the second Youth Flag Football Clinic of the summer on July 13th.

Planters Bank to show Larry Martin’s Colorful Art in July
Clarksville, TN – The Planters Bank-Hilldale Gallery will feature the richly-colored paintings of local artist Larry Martin Friday, July 5th – Wednesday, July 31st.
Having a varied career in Accounting, Linguistics, Music and Financial Management, Martin was always interested in art, but only began painting seriously after he retired at age 65 and has been painting for 10 years now.

Clarksville, TN – Teams in the Fall Adult Leagues may begin registering now. This league is open to men and women ages 18 and older.
