Clarksville’s Customs House Museum receives Grant from National Endowment for the Arts
Clarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum & Cultural Center is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Arts Engagement in American Communities grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
The invitation-only grant in the amount of $10,000 aims to help increase understanding and skills in the arts for all ages.

Montgomery County, TN – The latest business to complete requirements for Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification and host a Green Ribbon Cutting is Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department now accepting summer pool staff applications for the New Year
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting applications for lifeguard positions for the 2014 summer swimming season.

Clarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Festival is pleased to announce the Platinum-selling and CMA award-nominated country musician, Randy Houser, will take the Public Square Stage on Saturday, April 26th at 7:00pm. The concert is free and open to the public.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation has begun Spring Softball registration
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is currently registering teams for the spring and summer Recreation Leagues.
Teams in the Spring Adult Leagues may now begin registering. This league is open to men and women ages 18 and older.

Clarksville Concert Association’s concert at APSU featuring Pianist Conrad Tao postponed to Thursday
Clarksville, TN – Nineteen-year-old, award winning pianist Conrad Tao, to appear in concert this Thursday, February 6th at 7:30pm in the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall at Austin Peay State University, 8th and Marion streets in Clarksville. The concert is being put on by the Clarksville Community Concert Association.
Virtuoso pianist Conrad Tao became the only classical musician on Forbes’ 2011 “30 Under 30” list of people changing the world.

Fort Defiance Interpretive Center to commemorate the 152nd Anniversary of the Surrender of Clarksville
Clarksville, TN – The Fort Defiance Interpretive Center, located at 120 Duncan Street, will host a living history weekend to commemorate the 152nd anniversary of the Surrender of Clarksville, Saturday, February 15th from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Come see uniformed Civil War re-enactors from the 50th Tennessee Reenactment Group who will provide living history and musket firing demonstrations.

Montgomery County announces Christy Wentzell selected as Community Corrections Program Manager
