43 APSU students named to prestigious Who’s Who among American universities and colleges
Clarksville, TN – Since 1934, the Who’s Who Among American Universities and Colleges has honored outstanding campus leaders for their scholastic and community achievements.
Schools across the country nominate their top students every fall for this prestigious designation, but only the top candidates out of thousands of nominees are bestowed with the honor. Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation Facilities’ Hours to Change in Observance of upcoming Holidays
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s three community centers will adjust their hours of operation this December to accommodate students in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and their holiday schedule.
The Kleeman, Crow and Burt-Cobb Centers will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm beginning Friday, December 19th and ending Friday, January 2nd, 2015 as students will be out of school for the holiday break. «Read the rest of this article»
Clarksville’s Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for December 20th through December 27th, 2014
Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. There are programs for children and adults.
Some of the upcoming events include: Nature Hike, Welcome Winter Hike and Trash Pickup Hike.

Altra Federal Credit Union’s Drive Away Hunger Campaign Generates Over $21,000 Nationally to Fight Hunger
Empty Bowls of Clarksville to receive $1,680
Clarksville, TN – Altra Federal Credit Union raised over $21,000 nationally with its Drive Away Hunger Campaign. “Hunger is a very real concern in the communities we serve,” stated Cheryl Dutton, Vice President of Marketing for Altra Federal Credit Union. “Besides the financial contribution achieved by the campaign, Drive Away Hunger also generated awareness of the increasing need our communities face in feeding the hungry.”

Agero Associates Support The Troops With Holiday Cards
Clarksville, TN – For the third consecutive year, associates at Agero’s Clarksville call center facility have participated in the Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign through the American Red Cross.
The program facilitates the writing and sending of handwritten holiday cards to deployed service members during the holiday season.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation invites you to come out and enjoy free activities at Christmas on the Cumberland
Clarksville, TN – Children of all ages are encouraged to come to Christmas on the Cumberland for fun, family-friendly activities. Christmas on the Cumberland is open nightly from 5:00pm to 10:00pm Sunday through Thursday, and 5:00pm to 11:00pm Fridays and Saturdays through January 3rd, 2015. Admission to the event is free.
Activities will take place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, this Friday and Saturday, December 19th and 20th.
