Montgomery County Animal Care and Control Hosts Howl-O-Ween Event
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Animal Care and Control will host its first annual Howl-O-Ween Tricks Fur Treats Extravaganza on Saturday, October 24th, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at their facility located at 616 North Spring Street.
This first time event will event will foster community outreach and public awareness, give booth participants the ability to showcase their businesses and organizations, and help the animals at MCAC at the same time!

Fort Defiance offers haunting experience for the public
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will host its Halloween at Fort Defiance event on Friday, October 30th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the fort located at 120 Duncan Street.

Donate blood with the Red Cross in October
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Support cancer patients and others needing blood
Clarksville, TN – During Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, the American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to give blood to support cancer patients and others needing blood products.
According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the U.S., with one in eight developing invasive breast cancer in her lifetime. Breast cancer patients may need blood products during chemotherapy, mastectomy surgery or treatment of complications.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announces Domestic Violence Awareness Event set for Saturday, October 10th
Clarksville, TN – The 14th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Event will be held Saturday, October 10th from 11:00am– 2:00pm at the Civic Hall at Veterans Plaza. Remember My Name is dedicated to mothers and children who have lost their lives from domestic violence.
Red wooden silhouettes will be on display throughout the event. Each silhouette represents a man, woman or child who died from domestic violence, along with their story. Some family members of victims will be there to commemorate their loved ones. «Read the rest of this article»
Float the River with Clarksville Parks and Recreation
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is excited to host yet another float event for canoe and kayak enthusiasts!
Saturday, October 24th – Hickory Point to Liberty Park (approx. 10 miles)

APSU Department of Theatre and Dance to host acclaimed Cirque du Soleil performer Cheryl Ann Sanders
Clarksville, TN – At 7:00pm on Thursday, October 8th, 2015, Cheryl Ann Sanders will present an evening of works in the Austin Peay State University Trahern Theatre, titled “Cirque du Jeu Physique.” Sanders, a conservatory-trained musical theatre artist, has cultivated her career as an equity artist-turned cirque star.
Sanders is currently a lead artist at Downtown Disney’s “La Nouba” in Orlando, Florida.
