Austin Peay State University Choral Activities hosting “The Big Sing” on April 12th
Clarksville, TN – As another academic year nears its end, APSU choral activities celebrates the grand finale of the choral season with the biggest collection of vocal talent to date in the third annual “The Big Sing.”
On April 12th at 5:30pm, upwards of 158 singers from Austin Peay State University and Paducah Tilghman High School will join together at the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall on the University campus in a free performance of a wide range of vocal compositions.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Arts & Heritage Development Council invites Organizations to Apply for ABC Grants to Fund Arts Activities
Clarksville, TN – Organizations seeking funding for artistic and cultural projects that benefit the community are invited by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Arts & Heritage Development Council to apply for an Arts Build Communities grant.
Arts Build Communities is a program funded by the Tennessee Arts Commission and administered by the Clarksville Arts & Heritage Development Council in cooperation with the Tennessee Arts Commission.

Austin Peay State University ROTC to hold week-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of Army ROTC programs
Clarksville, TN – The 100th anniversary of the establishment of Army ROTC programs in the nation is this year, 2016.
Austin Peay State University (APSU)’s ROTC program is celebrating with a week of events demonstrating its cadets’ commitment to the Army Values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage to commemorate the program’s centennial anniversary.

Austin Peay State University’s Dr. Sharon Mabry serves as Master Teacher and lecturer at Southern Illinois University
Clarksville, TN – Dr. Sharon Mabry, mezzo-soprano and professor of music at Austin Peay State University, was invited by Southern Illinois University in Carbondale for a Master Teacher residency in vocal performance.
In this capacity, she worked with SIU’s voice faculty and classical vocal majors, as well as several students from the musical theatre program.

Clarksville Police Department’s Run for C.O.P.S. 5K Run/Walk registration going on now
Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, May 14th, 2016, the Clarksville Police Department will be holding their Run for C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors) 5k Run/Walk event in order to further positive relationships between members of the department and the community we serve.
All proceeds will be donated to the C.O.P.S. Foundation to benefit the families of law enforcement personnel killed in the line of duty.

Austin Peay Department of Theatre and Dance to host Latin Grammy Award winners Lucky Diaz and The Family Jam Band
Clarksville, TN – At 7:00pm on Friday, April 8th, Latin Grammy winners Lucky Diaz and The Family Jam Band will perform in Austin Peay State University’s Trahern Theatre as this spring’s APSU Roy Acuff Chair of Excellence recipients.
