Rock ‘n’ Roll to ’50s Favorites at “Smokey Joe’s Cafe” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, July 22nd – August 20th
Clarksville, TN – Songwriters Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller penned the music that defined a generation, including such iconic songs from the 1950s and ’60s as “Hound Dog,” “Stand by Me,” “Yakety Yak,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Spanish Harlem,” “On Broadway,” “Love Potion #9” and “Fools Fall in Love.”
This summer, the work of that legendary team will be celebrated in the Roxy Regional Theatre’s production of “Smokey Joe’s Cafe”, running July 22nd through August 20th.
The longest running musical revue in Broadway history, this Tony Award-nominated and Grammy Award-winning production pays tribute to over three dozen of the greatest songs ever recorded during the golden age of American culture.

Montgomery County Animal Care and Control to host Tales for Tails Events in July
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Animal Care and Control will host a Tales for Tails event each Thursday throughout July, at 10:30am, at their facility, 616 North Spring Street.
Children are invited to come listen to stories read by volunteers while cuddling cats and kittens awaiting adoption.
Stories are appropriate for elementary ages, but all ages are welcome.

Exciting Lineup and Changes in Store for Roxy Regional Theatre’s SEASON 34
Clarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre is gearing up to celebrate 34 years of presenting live theatre in the heart of Historic Downtown Clarksville on the corner of Franklin and First. The Roxy has long been regarded as “the cornerstone of downtown re-development,” and SEASON 34 will see new productions and exciting changes to the programming and structure of the theatre.
Ryan Bowie, longtime company member and former Director of Fundraising and Development, will take the reins as the organization’s new Executive Director.

Local Auditions for Roxy Regional Theatre’s SEASON 34 on Saturday, July 23rd
Clarksville, TN – Local auditions for the Roxy Regional Theatre’s 2016-2017 season will be held Saturday, July 23rd, beginning at 10:00am.
Auditions, which are for ages 18 and up, are by appointment only. Paying and non-paying roles are available, but actors must be able to attend daytime rehearsals and performances.
To schedule an appointment, interested auditionees should submit photos and resumes by noon on Friday, July 22nd, to casting@roxyregionaltheatre.org
